Surgical Therapy

Autologous skin grafts
In an autologous (use of a person’s own tissues) skin graft, the doctor removes skin from one area of a patient's body and attaches it to another area. This type of skin grafting is sometimes used for patients with small patches of vitiligo. The doctor removes sections of the normal, pigmented skin (donor sites) and places them on the depigmented areas (recipient sites). There are several possible complications of autologous skin grafting. Infections may occur at the donor or recipient sites. The recipient and donor sites may develop scarring or an uneven appearance, or may fail to repigment at all. Treatment with grafting takes time and is costly, but does work for some people.
Skin grafts using blisters
It is a variation in the technique of skin grafting, in which blisters on the pigment containing skin are artificially created and then cut out to be transplanted at the required site. The risk of scaring is less than the standard technique, but success in the form of re-pigmentation is not very encouraging.
Autologous melanocyte transplants
In this procedure, the doctor takes a sample of the patient's normally pigmented skin and places it in a laboratory dish containing a special cell culture solution to grow melanocytes. When the melanocytes in the culture solution have multiplied, the doctor transplants them to the patient's depigmented skin patches.
It is a fairly new technology which has shown some promise, but is not widely available, because it is still in its experimental stages.
 Therapeutic Tattooing
Therapeutic Tattooing or micropigmentation is not a traditional vitiligo treatment but used as a camouflage technique. It is done with artificial pigments which are deposited into the skin, with the help of traditional tattooing needles or by surgical techniques in present scientific era. The accuracy of color match depends upon the skill of the person doing it. It  work best for darker skins, and the color may become lighter with the passage of time. Keeping in view ,the risks of serious infections spreading with tattooing through traditional methods , it is important to get this procedure done by trained dermatologists at established centres.
It can also be used to camouflage pigmented neavi (birth marks).

Temporary dimple creation
Dimples on cheeks are considered cute by many. The demand for surgically created dimples is increasing .However keeping in view the risks and the costs associated with any surgical process, we have devised an new methodology  for creating dimples on your cheeks. The dimple created by this method last for usually one year or so and you can avail another sitting once the dimple starts filling in.

So now , brighten up your smile with dimple adorned cheeks without going under the knife and  cutting  your pockets.
