Cherry angiomas also known as cherry hemangiomas, senile angiomas, or Campbell de Morgan spots are fairly common growth seen as bright red small papular growths over body after the age of 30. they are actually acquired vascular proliferation of the skin. The cause of the cherry angiomas is still unknown, but could be familial. Other factors contributing in their origin is Ageing, Pregnancy, Climate & Exposure to chemicals. The most common site is trunk & upper extremities, but can be seen in other parts of the body. The red colour of the angioma is due to the broken capillary.
Management of cherry angiomas Curettage, Laser, Electrosurgery, Cryosurgery are the various modalities to treat angiomas.
