Flucanazole, Terbinafine, Itraconazole are generally used in the treatments, but nowadays tinea infection has develooped resistant to the antifungal drugs because of the self medication. Recurrences are high after the treatment.
Precautions to be taken to avoid the infection & recurrences.
Shower to be taken daily & specially after heavy sweating.Wear socks that can trap moisture and change them daily, as well as changing your underwear daily. Do not share combs, socks, underwear, clothes, towels, and brushes. Wear shoes that are well ventilated with small holes to keep the feet dry. Do not wear the same shoes two days in a row, as the shoes need to air out to prevent moisture from building up and prevent fungus growth.
Once you are over with the treatment use antifungal soap once a week and dusting powder daily for further few months.
